"If
the doors of perception were cleansed
every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, still he sees allthings through narrow chinks of his caverns William

Marriage of Heaven and Hell
In our busy world filled with constant information-overdoseswe have learned to block out most of what we perceive with our five senses in order to focus on the tasks at hand. It's hard to cross a busy road when you are smelling the spring air and thinking about what you will cook for dinner tonight, ignoring the glaring images and texts of commercial billboards beside the traffic signs and still, that's exactly we are doing all day long. The awareness of the spring air gets blocked out first though! The unfortunate reason being that it not a priority in most people's life, -whereas for instance on holiday the first thing we do is sniff the -foreign- air. That's why we need holidays so much! So here in a nutshell is the clue to re-learning the art of perception: you change your priorities. Intuition is based on the skill of extracting the essence of what our senses perceive. In this course you will begin to learn how to encounter and transform your individual senses to a higher level of awareness, like the ancient alchemical process of brewing, ripening and distilling. ![]() In our everyday lives we are mostly focussed on the external side of perception, so in this course we will work a lot on the more internal side of it, through reflection, perception exercises, body sensation, inner journeys, and 'daydreaming'. Sometimes we will go outside to practice some of the things we are learning and experience the world in a different way.
